An update from our very close cousins in Local government, who have just secured a significant pay increase!

Local government workers accept pay deal

The NJC trade unions accepted a pay offer this week that will see hundreds of thousands of staff, over 350,000 of whom are UNISON members, paid an extra £1,925 this year, equating to a 10.5% increase for the lowest-paid. UNISON, GMB and Unite consulted their members over the last two months. They voted to accept the highest pay award made to local government staff in over a decade.

This is why we must pursue Industrial Action and fight for our jobs to be valued.
